PRESENTATIONS: I am available for presentations (I like coffee shops), book-signings, three-legged races for charity, bicycle races, hikes, and amateur radio events. Some of my presentations include 3 ARTISTS WHO WRITE; 3 WRITERS WHO PAINT (for art clubs), THE JOYS OF AMATEUR RADIO; WHY THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS STILL THE BEST THERE IS; THE BASICS OF LOW POWER AMATEUR RADIO; HOW TO WRITE A BASIC ARGUMENT ESSAY; HOW TO NAVIGATE AN ELECTION SEASON; ANYTHING ELSE I CAN THINK OF. These are FREE. I will bring books to sell, however. And a free lunch or dinner would be nice.
TUTORING: I am a professional writing tutor. My practice, however, focuses on COLLEGE LEVEL academic writing only. I can work with ESL, undergraduate, and graduate students. So, we are talking about content presentation and organization, clarity of writing, the thesis statement, ways to defeat writer’s block, grammar, mechanics, assignment requirements, and all major formats (MLA, APA, CMS, etc.). My rates are reasonable. I DO NOT EDIT, PROOFREAD, WRITE, OR RE-WRITE PAPERS.
